Quality here is key, trusted sites such as yellow pages, true local, accountant list etc can do wonders for your site, but disregard overseas directories as Australian domains will derive little to no benefit from non Australian back links.
2: Blog.

Conservative use of key words is a necessity here and spamming of key words may incur penalties from Google. Incorporate your key words into your blog in a natural manner, (ie “many accountants in Melbourne will benefit from… etc”) to obtain the greatest SEO benefit from blogging.
3: Content.
